Morning, all.
My car is pretty packed this morning. We get the new place today, so I filled the Mattmobile up with whatever I could pack in there and drove it up here so I could drop it off at the new place. I'll be doing the same tomorrow, which is good in that it'll save us some time once Heather's family gets here tomorrow to help out.
Plus I get paid tomorrow too, thank the maker. We're sporting the negative balance in the checking, which is always fun, and I've got less than a half a tank of gas right now.
Here's the problem, however: there are no National City banks in Lafayette or West Lafayette, so I can't just go out on my lunch hour and put the check in the bank, even tho I'm moving stuff during lunch anyway. So I've gotta make sure I'm outta town by at least like 3:45 or so in order to make it back to Lebtucky before the bank closes. Fun.
Ooh, you don't think the bank will close early b/c it's NYE tomorrow, do you?
But yeah, the plan is to fill up the trailer that Heather's mom is bringing the washer and dryer in and the Explorer with more stuff, probably fill the Mattmobile too, and drive up here tomorrow nite, unload, drive back to Lebtucky for NYE, move the bulk of the big stuff on Friday and making our new base of operations Lafayette by Friday nite. Then Heather's mom and sister leave Saturday sometimeish --maybe get another load out of them-- and Heather's brother shows up at some point with the Suburban. Depending on how much stuff we still have to move, Nate will come back from Ohio if necessary to speed up the process. I mean, we SHOULD have it all done by Saturday afternoon I'd think, but ya never know. Then Sunday we'll clean the Lebtucky place and consider our time there over.
So yeah after tomorrow I don't know how much I'll be on again until Saturday nite. We'll still have Internet at Lebtucky until Friday, but I don't know when I'll have it in L-Town yet. Probably not until next week sometime. We're having some problems b/c Verizon has the new place on some sort of service refusal list b/c the previous tenants kinda never paid their Internet bills. Nice. Shouldn't be a problem to get it once they change the status... whenever that'll be... Can't go wrong with $29.95 a month for DSL tho. Very nice. And it thankfully comes with MSN instead of AOL, so yay.
Ok, that's it for now. Got lotsa stuff to do today. Gotta move and eat lunch on the fly. Ugh. No lunch with friends for me today. It was great having lunch with Mickey yesterday. I didn't realize how much I missed that until then. Will have to do that much more often next semester. Good times.
